About
Built by hosts, for hosts

Jonathan Castillo
Founder, Hostalytics
I'm an Airbnb host. I used to spend hours rewriting my titles, swapping cover photos, and tweaking my description — then refreshing my stats hoping something moved. The problem was I could never tell which edit actually made the difference. So I built Hostalytics.
Why I built this
Every host optimizes their listing. You change your title to highlight the hot tub, swap in a drone shot, rewrite the first paragraph of your description. Then you wait and watch your stats. Sometimes views go up. Sometimes they don't. You never know if it was your edit, the season, or just random noise.
Airbnb gives you performance trends, but it never connects them to the changes you made. There's no way to say “this title change increased my click-through rate by 40%.” Hostalytics fills that gap. It records every edit you make, captures your performance data before and after, and tells you whether the change helped, hurt, or made no difference.
What Hostalytics does
Hostalytics is a Chrome extension that runs in the background while you manage your Airbnb listings. It detects changes to your title, photos, and description automatically. Then it measures the impact on your search impressions, click-through rate, page views, and booking rate — running a clean before-and-after experiment for every edit.
Each experiment ends with a clear verdict: the change improved your visibility, hurt it, or was inconclusive. You keep the winners, revert the losers, and stop guessing.
